Lichens
Learn about local lichen with Rich Hyerczyk, founder of the Chicago Lichenological Society. This three-hour field course will explore the
taxonomy, morphology and ecology of lichenized fungi, with an emphasis on identification of species common in our area. Handouts including a species list will be provided. Please bring a hand lens if you have one and dress appropriately for hiking in summer weather.
