Project Learning Tree

Project Learning Tree® (PLT) is a collection of award winning, multi-disciplinary environmental education activity guides for educators and students in Pre K-grade 12. It is a program of the Sustainable Forest Initiative.

Earth Force & RISE Challenge

Earth Force has developed an educational framework that excels at developing the civic skills that young people need while at the same time deepen students understanding of STEM concepts that is essential for them to be successful in their careers and their communities.

Project Wild

Project WILD™ is a national program of the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Project WILD’s mission is to provide wildlife-based conservation and environmental education that fosters responsible actions toward wildlife and related natural resources. 

NAAEE Guidelines for Excellence

EEAI is proud to be the state affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education.  Their work with the National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education lead to the development of Guidelines for Excellence, which positively influence EE programs at the smallest nature centers all the way to graduate university programs.

Outdoor Teaching and Learning

From evaluating your current space, examining available resources and deciding the first elements that are needed to increase outdoor teaching and learning there are resources to help any school or learning facility design and plan out their outdoor learning spaces. 


 Since spring 2020 EEAI has engaged with over 50 individuals representing more than 40 different organizations from around the state of Illinois in developing a foundational guide to advancing equitable environmental literacy in Illinois, now titled EL4IL: Environmental Literacy for Illinois
